CEO / Co-Founder

Mike is the founder and CEO of SnappyTV, a platform for sharing clips from live television with friends on Facebook and Twitter. Mike’s career has been at the intersection of technology and media. He was the General Manager of Video at Yahoo! after his first company Jumpcut was acquired by Yahoo! in 2006. Jumpcut, an online video sharing community with the first web-based video editing suite was selected as one of Time Inc.’s 50 coolest websites of 2006 and the team won a Webby for their part in the first user created SuperBowl ad for Doritos in 2007. At Yahoo! Mike ran the video technology and business across Yahoo!’s portals. He also lead an advanced R&D group called the Brickhouse, which created FireEagle, an online location broker and Yahoo! Live, a live video sharing community. Prior to Yahoo!, Mike held various positions at OpenTV, the leading provider of software for interactive television. Mike has an engineering degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

CTO / Co-Founder

Ryan is a founder and CTO of SnappyTV, where he oversees all engineering and operations. A three-time startup founder and CTO, Ryan has built his career around video, video advertising, and Internet technology. He was a founder and CTO of Jumpcut, a video sharing community that allowed you to upload video, photos and audio, edit them in a Flash-based online video editor, and remix and share with other users. After Jumpcut's acquisition by Yahoo! in 2006, Ryan managed engineering for Video at Yahoo!, served as Sr Principal Architect for Video and architected a back-end content serving system. Prior to Jumpcut, Ryan worked at Macromedia where he was a founding team member of Flex/Flex Builder, and designed and implemented ActionScript 2.0, the first version of the Flash player's scripting language designed for software engineers. Ryan also started and sold AimTV in 1999 to NetZero (United Online), and following the acquisition performed engineering management and R&D. AimTV was an early entry into internet video advertising that built technology to schedule, deliver and track TV-produced video advertisements to dial-up Internet customers. Ryan has a BS in Biology, Specialization in Computing and an MS in Computer Science, both from UCLA.

Head of Products

David is responsible for all SnappyTV products from conception to release. David has deep roots in content management, real-time collaboration, elearning and webcasting technologies gaining experience at industry leading companies such as Adobe and Interwoven. Prior to joining SnappyTV, he worked at ConnectSolutions, where he lead Product Management teams responsible for delivering a suite of real-time collaboration products and services. Prior to ConnectSolutions, David held product management, product marketing and development roles at Adobe, Macromedia, and Interwoven working on the Adobe Connect Web Conferencing Product, Macromedia eLearning and Collaboration tools and the Interwoven TeamSite CMS. David holds degrees in Computer Science and English from Brown University and an MFA in filmmaking from the San Francisco Art Institute.

Outside of his work in high tech, David is an accomplished artist. His works have been shown around the world at venues such as the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD), International Documentary Festival Amsterdam, European Media Arts Festival, International Asian American Film Festival (New York), Sydney Underground Film Festival, Seoul International Film Festival, Documenta Madrid, and the Present Tense Biennial.
